BUKC heads North for twice round the clock race
After British success at this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours the British Universities Karting Championship (BUKC) 24 Hour race heads to the fast and flowing Teesside Karting International circuit.
iON Camera’s will be used by many of the teams to capture the race action. With 2.5 hours battery life across the Air Pro range none of action will be missed! Thanks to the iON’s vibration confirmation technology and large turn on / off switch the driver’s will be able to start recording on the go.
Whilst Huddersfield and Oxford Brookes go into the race as clear favourites expect consistent challengers Coventry to be nipping at their heels. Other notable entrants include two DIT Karting team who are coming across from Ireland after finishing 5th in the race last year. A team with considerably less of a journey than they have had to most BUKC events this year is ‘Banditz for Cancer Research’ who are competing as a two man team and raising money for Cancer Research. To support Mark Cuthbert and Josh Mitchell‘s efforts you can donate to their fundraising page here. Another team re-writing the history books is Tequila’s Wheels, an all-female team. It will be the first time a BUKC event has been competed by a team made up solely of female drivers.
A 24 hour karting race is true test of man, woman and machine, so all of us at iON Camera would like to wish the drivers good luck with this weekend’s challenge.
